Apply for a Grant

As a charitable grant-making organization, the Iowa State Bar Foundation awards grants annually to Iowa nonprofits addressing specific, unmet legal needs in Iowa's communities. Since 1944, the Foundation has awarded millions to law-related philanthropic organizations and projects across Iowa. Over time, grants have supported the creation of legal materials, new websites, campaigns, clinics, conferences, trainings, presentations, and more. 

The Foundation Board reviews and approves grant awards on an annual basis during its March meeting. To be considered, complete grant applications must be submitted to the Foundation no later than February 25.
